Canadian flag pins

Our national flag is a unifying symbol for Canadians. So, at the Lieutenant Governor's New Year's Day Levee we began celebrating our flag's special anniversary year.

On February 15th, 1965, Canada’s red and white maple leaf flag was raised for the first time on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario.

On February 15th, 1996, National Flag of Canada Day was declared. It is a day to celebrate our flag and our pride in Canada.
