Visit by US Ambassador

Lt. Governor Russ Mirasty greets David Cohen, U.S. Ambassador to Canada on July 24, 2023.

His Excellency David L. Cohen, Ambassador of the United States of America to Canada, visited Saskatchewan in July and met with His Honour Russ Mirasty on the afternoon of July 24th at Government House in Regina.

Holly Waeger Monster, U.S. Consul General in Calgary and Merrica Heaton, Political/Economic Chief, US Consulate General in Calgary accompanied Ambassador Cohen on the visit.

The Lieutenant Governor showed the Ambassador and his group the Saskatchewan Residential School Memorial and they spoke about its development and significance. With temperatures in the 30s Celsius, the shade of the gazebo was welcome for further discussions with His Excellency regarding his trip to our province.
