Brian Sklar and The Western Senators with special guest Walter Ostanek bring their toe-tapping music to the Lieutenant Governor’s Canada Day Celebration on Monday, July 1st from 1-4 p.m. at Government House at 4607 Dewdney Avenue in Regina.

There is just one month until The Lieutenant Governor’s Canada Day Celebration with an exciting array of entertainment including the crowd-pleasing Western Senators and Grammy winning, Polka King Walter Ostanek!

At 89 years young Walter Ostanek has been playing the accordion for eight decades and has become a Canadian musical icon with over 100 albums to his credit! In addition to three Grammys, Walter has won multiple honours from Kitchener’s world-renowned Oktoberfest, inductions into Akron’s Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Chicago and Cleveland Polka Halls of Fame, a spot on Canada’s Walk of Fame, and the Order of Canada.

Outdoor entertainment will include the ever-popular KAOS Dogsports, Storybook Princesses, HMCS Queen Bouncy Castle, Saskatchewan Science Centre Shows and face painting.
