Their Honours welcome you to the Saskatchewan Residential School Memorial

Lt. Governor Russ Mirasty & Her Honour Donna Mirasty at Saskatchewan Residential School Memorial in Regina, September 2023.

Their Honours Russ and Donna Mirasty welcome you to spend time with them at the Saskatchewan Residential School Memorial on Monday, September 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of Government House at 4607 Dewdney Avenue in Regina.

There will be no program or protocol – just an opportunity to be together to remember the children who were taken from their homes to attend Residential Schools. You might want to stay for a few minutes or the whole afternoon. If you would like to share your story, Their Honours will be happy to listen. They can also answer questions about the Memorial.

With the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation coming up at the end of this month, numerous events will be held. These activities can be comforting and informative, but they can also be emotionally triggering. If you want a quiet place to sit and reflect, you are welcome to visit the Residential School Memorial at any time. If you would like some company while you are at the Memorial, Their Honours would be happy to spend some time with you on September 25th.
